Maple Lane Sports was founded in 1982 by Ron and LaVonne
Stenfors. Our startup was originally a
Cross Country Ski center, with future plans to go into Archery and Bicycles. We started retailing and repairing bicycles
in 1990, and added archery in 1992 with complete retail and service of archery
equipment, and a 3-D archery range. In
1996 we opened a second store in Ishpeming, Mi, which we operated as a retail
and service shop for archery, bicycles, and X-C skis. Because of economic conditions, we closed the
Ishpeming store, but continue today to service and carry parts for bicycles in
our Skandia location.
At Maple Lane Sports, we pride ourselves in retailing
quality sporting goods, and providing outstanding customer service. Whether you are looking for an X-C ski
package or a new bow package, we will get you into equipment that fits. If you want to try before you buy, we have
X-C ski rentals to fit everyone, and the groomed trails to use them on. If you are looking for a new (or Used) bow or
crossbow we encourage you to come in and try before you buy’

loaded with new equipment and antiques (sorry no cows). We are just 15 miles South of Marquette, or
